OUR SREVICES WILL HELP MINIMIZE YOUR COST

 OUR SERVICES

At The University Way, our mission is to help hard working families with three principle tasks:

1. To have a comprehensive understanding of the college and financial aid application process.

2. Evaluate the student and family's personal and financial circumstances.

3. Design and execute a plan that will maximize the student's eligibility for Federal and Private Financial Aid.

Our primary focus is reducing the family's out-of-pocket expense in the most appropriate and effective way.

So... how do we do it?

HOW IT WORKS

Free Initial Consultation
This is where the family, together, will meet our team for the first time. This meeting serves as a formal introduction to the financial aid application process, as well as how our program can help. Before leaving this meeting, the family will have better a understanding of college financial aid and an estimate of how much financial aid they may be eligible for by working with us.

Evaluation of Family's EFC
Once you have seen the value in working with us and have agreed to do so, we will need an extensive understanding of the student and family's personal and financial circumstances. In order to do so, we complete a questionnaire that gives us the same information needed for your FAFSA form, only much less complicated. This serves the purpose of giving us a very accurate assessment of your financial circumstances, which leads us to your current EFC,* your expected EFC, and in result, your financial need.**

* Expected Family Contribution is based on student and family's financial circumstances
** Cost of College or University - Expected Family Contribution = Financial Need

Student Profile Report
This is a 70-80-page report that gives you a detailed description of some aspects involved with applying to college and applying for financial aid. Included in the detailed description is a break down of the family and student's income and assets, the United States Department of Education Income and Asset Assessment Formulary, a family contribution analysis, and an analysis of the projected out-of-pocket cost for each of your 8-top college choices.

Completion of Electronic FAFSA Form
Stressed about the FAFSA form? There is no need to be, since we will be doing it for you all four years of attendance. Approximately 71% of all FAFSA forms are completed incorrectly each year. We like to make sure our clients are a part of the 29% that are done correctly.

Financial Aid Package Analysis
Now that we have planned, restructured, and officially submitted your FAFSA form, we need to make sure all of this work was well spent. This is where we review the financial aid package you receive and confirm that each school has offered you the appropriate and expected package. Sometimes this requires us to contact and follow up with financial aid offices at each school, to ensure that you have received everything you are rightfully entitled to.
